Cape Coral City Council on Nov. 5 approved wage increases for nonbargaining employees, including managers, accountants and engineers, raising the minimum annual salary from just over $45,000 to more than $47,000. The increase follows a study comparing city pay to 10 others statewide and aligns with Cape Coral’s goal of reaching the 75th percentile for compensation. Council member Derrick Donnell said the move ensures fair pay and fosters a positive workplace culture. The city confirmed taxpayers will not be impacted, as the raises were budgeted for this year, WINK News reports.Â
