The NRP Group has broken ground on a 312-unit luxury apartment community within Tradition, the 10,000-acre master-planned development in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

The project represents NRP’s second Florida development closing this year and advances the multifamily developer’s expansion in the state.

Situated on approximately 18 acres at 13661 SW Village Parkway, the community will consist of 10 three-story buildings with one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments ranging from approximately 720 to 1,300 square feet. Each residence will include either a private balcony or a fenced ground-floor yard.

“This project represents an exciting milestone for our growing presence in Florida and reflects our commitment to creating places where residents can thrive,” said Brett Gelsomino, senior vice president of development at The NRP Group.

Resort-Style Amenities

Designed by Group 4 Architecture with a coastal contemporary aesthetic, the development will feature a substantial collection of resident amenities, including a resort-style swimming pool, 24-hour fitness center, coworking suites and work-from-home offices, resident lounge and full kitchen, package concierge, storage facilities, grilling areas and landscaped courtyards.

A walking trail will also surround an on-site lake.

The community’s location provides access to Interstate 95 and Florida’s Turnpike and places residents near major employers including Amazon, Costco and Cheney Brothers distribution facilities. Retail, restaurants, healthcare providers and educational institutions are also nearby.

M&T Bank provided construction financing for the development.

NRP Expands in Florida

The project follows NRP’s groundbreaking this year on Alora Lofts, an 88-unit affordable housing development in Kissimmee serving households earning between 30% and 70% of area median income.

NRP says it has built more than 6,300 apartment homes in Florida and currently owns and manages more than 1,700 units in the state. Nationwide, the company has developed more than 68,000 apartments and manages more than 33,000 residential units.

Construction of the new Tradition community is underway, with completion scheduled for summer 2028.
