We all know the struggle. You pick up an order of bone-in Mango Habanero wings from Buffalo Wild Wings. You get back in your car. You haul ass to Jimmy John’s – shove the wings into a spread open, fully dressed Vito, and enjoy a “Bone’d MangoVito” within the sanctuary of your Jeep Gladiator.
Luckily, the private equity overlords at Inspire Brands have decided Tampa Bay residents have suffered enough, which is why we will soon be home to the nation’s first combination Buffalo Wild Wings Go and Jimmy John’s.
Located at 5241 69th St. E in Palmetto, the new fast-food alliance will debut at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 18, and according to a press release, the first 100 guests in line who are 18 or older will receive free wings for a year (equivalent to six free wings per week for 52 weeks), free Jimmy John’s sandwiches, prizes and more.
“We’re giving this community something no one else has: two crave-worthy menus, one location and no reason to ever choose between them,” said Kenther Ramos, franchisee with Quality Foods Restaurant Group, which will act as the local operator.
It’s unclear if there will be any menu-mashups, like maybe some oil and vinegar wings, or a Blazin’ sauce smothered Turkey Tom. But this surely something that any adventurous kid working behind the counter would accommodate for the most fearless of patrons.
Similar to Yum! Brands’ “Kentacohuts” (Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, KFC), the new corpo-mashup came together through a series of delicious acquisitions. In 2018, Inspire Brands purchased Buffalo Wild Wings for an estimated $2.9 billion. A year later, the company also absorbed Jimmy John’s after founder Jimmy John Liautaud sold the remainder of his shares so he could go shoot more endangered rhinos or whatever.
If you’re not familiar with Inspire Brands, it also owns Arby’s, Dunkin Donuts, Baskin-Robbins, Sonic, and a few others. It’s also essentially the fast-food arm of the private equity bros over at Roark Capital Group, which made a name for itself during the COVID pandemic for literally bragging about successfully lobbying to keep a federal $15 minimum wage increase out of President Biden’s American Rescue Plan.
It seems the only problem Inspire Brands has now is what to call the world’s first Buffalo Wild Wings Jimmy John’s hybrid. So, here are a few ideas:

Juffalo’s
