Malignancy Credit: Paul McGuire
This lineup’s only for the sickest metalheads who appreciate technique and brutality in equal measure. New York technical death-metal headliners Malignancy are the rare, eye-popping intersection of grindcore and guitar heroics, while the uproariously named Anal Stabwound are a blinding tech-death machine from Connecticut. Houston gore grind act Mysteryxmeat make berserk mutant sounds that most civilized people will not recognize as music. You may not quite know what’s going on when you listen to them, but you’ll know it’s thoroughly unholy. Finally, Tampa’s Virulence will be a missile of death, black and thrash metal. All told, it’ll be an orgy of intensity.
7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, Conduit, conduitfl.com, $20.
