FORT PIERCE – The City of Fort Pierce is inviting professional artists and artist teams to submit proposals for a permanent outdoor sculpture to be installed at the front entrance of Fort Pierce City Hall, located at 100 N. U.S. Highway 1.

This public art opportunity is part of the City’s ongoing commitment to enhancing public spaces while celebrating Fort Pierce’s unique identity, history, and culture. Located along one of the City’s most highly visible corridors, this artwork will serve as a welcoming landmark for residents and visitors alike.

The selected sculpture should demonstrate artistic excellence, create a strong sense of arrival, engage viewers from multiple vantage points, and be designed to withstand Florida’s coastal climate.

Project details

• Location: Fort Pierce City Hall, 100 N. U.S. Highway 1, Fort Pierce, FL 34950

• Project budget: Up to $50,000

• Artwork type: Permanent outdoor sculpture

Professional artists and artist teams with experience in designing and installing large-scale, permanent public art are encouraged to apply.

Submission requirements

Applications must be submitted through the CaFÉ (Call for Entry) online system and include:

• Letter of interest

• Artist resume

• Portfolio of previous work

• Preliminary concept statement

• Proposed project timeline

• Professional references

• Artist website and/or social Media Links

• Maintenance and protection plan

• Comprehensive project budget

• Selection criteria

Submissions will be evaluated based on:

• Artistic excellence and originality

• Technical feasibility

• Durability and public safety

• Long-term maintenance considerations

• Ability to complete the project within the established budget and timeline
