JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Paradigm Roof and Shield expands roofing with a veteran focus in Jacksonville.

Paradigm, an award-winning roofing company based in Dallas, has expanded to Jacksonville, Florida, launching its new office in March 2025.

Greg Hiltz, CEO since 2023, leads the expansion with a focus on roofing excellence and exceptional customer service.

“Number one, enhance our roofing excellence,” Hiltz said. “So we wanted to be technically roofing excellent operators. And then number two, have a maniacal focus on customer service, really delighting our customers.” He noted the roofing industry often struggles with reputation issues, and Paradigm aims to change that by delivering quality and care.

Jacksonville’s rapid growth and Hiltz’s personal ties to the city made it an ideal market. “Jacksonville has great growth prospects. It’s been growing like crazy for a number of years now,” he said, adding his Navy background and previous work in the area made the move natural.

Weather challenges like hurricanes in Florida and hail in Texas influence roofing needs. Paradigm offers durable roofing options such as standing seam metal and Brava’s long-lasting tile-look roofs with strong warranties.

Veterans play a key role at Paradigm, with about 25% of staff having military backgrounds. The company supports veteran causes, recently donating a roof to Soldiers Freedom Outdoors, which provides retreats for veterans near Jacksonville. Hiltz said, “The military gives back to me every single day through that team and through the experiences that I’ve had.”

Paradigm’s Red, White, and Roof project offers free roof replacements to deserving veterans, with plans to expand the program. Hiltz shared, “What we want to see happen though, over the next few years is get a ton of applicants in and really get to pick someone as the most deserving and hopefully do more than one in a year.”

Customer service is central to the company’s mission, easing the stress homeowners face during roofing projects. “Anytime you’re getting a roof put on your house, it’s stressful. And most times that people are working with us, they’re doing it because they absolutely have to,” Hiltz said. “We want to give them some comfort knowing that, hey, we’re going to take excellent care of your roof and you’re going to know about the process every step of the way.”

With significant investment in Jacksonville, including a new office and local hires, Paradigm is confident in replicating its Dallas success. “If you meet my team in Jacksonville, you will want us on your roof,” Hiltz said.
