PALM CITY, Fla. (CBS12) — The Humane Society of the Treasure Coast is feeling the pressure after another large group of animals was rescued from a hoarding case in Palm City this week.
Sarah Fisher with the Humane Society tells CBS12 News the latest case is the worst animal neglect she has ever seen.
According to Fisher, teams at the Humane Society are overwhelmed by the amount of care and rehabilitation these Border Collies will need.
But the teams are prepared to do everything they can to provide the dogs with the medical care, attention and support they desperately need.
“We’ve seen throughout the years, some bad cases come in, one dog here, one pet there, but not 36 dogs like in this case, in this situation. It is the worst that we have seen,” Fisher told CBS12 News.

Fisher says it will be some time before the dogs are ready for adoption.
Once they are ready to find their forever homes, the Humane Society plans to identify families with experience caring for Border Collies.
They will also look for families who have plenty of patience, because the dogs will need extensive socialization, training and time to adjust to their new surroundings.
