Impact Weather: Dangerous heat expected across Central Florida
ORLANDO, Fla. —
It’s going to be hot and humid across Central Florida on Friday.
Afternoon highs are climbing to around 97 degrees, but with the humidity factored in, it will feel even hotter.
The heat index is expected to reach roughly 108 to 111 degrees during the afternoon. That’s why heat advisories have been issued from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. across the region.
There will be some opportunities for cooling showers and thunderstorms, but coverage will remain limited. Rain chances are around 40%

Looking ahead
Saturday looks like a near repeat of Friday, with another very warm and humid day, afternoon temperatures in the upper 90s, and scattered showers and storms.
By Sunday, the pattern turns drier, which should mean fewer opportunities for rain across the area.
