For those who know me in Charlotte County, you may recognize me as James W. Herston, P.E., president of Herston Engineering Services, Inc., a Charlotte County resident since 1985, and a former Charlotte County Airport commissioner who served for approximately 16 years.
During those years of public service, I had the opportunity to see local government from the inside. I attended the meetings. I heard the discussions. I received the phone calls. I observed the personalities, the pressures, and the behind-the-scenes concerns that the average citizen often never has the opportunity to see or fully understand.
Based upon those years of experience, I can say without hesitation that Stephen R. Deutsch is the type of public servant Charlotte County needs. He is a man of honor, integrity, loyalty, and courage. He has demonstrated a deep and consistent commitment to veterans, first responders, patriotic causes, and the citizens of Charlotte County.
In my opinion, when a person is deciding who to support, who to trust, and who to stand with in Charlotte County public service, Stephen R. Deutsch deserves that support. He has earned it through his service, his actions, and his long-standing commitment to this community.
