HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (WWSB) – A man already being held in the Hillsborough County Jail is facing additional charges following an investigation involving a teenage victim.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office says Sergio Hollis is accused of meeting the victim on social media, sending inappropriate images and engaging in inappropriate physical contact.
Hollis now faces additional charges, including three counts of lewd and lascivious battery and five counts of possession of child sexual abuse material with intent to promote.
According to the sheriff’s office, Hollis also faces charges including promotion of a sexual performance by a child, in-state transmission of child sexual abuse material by electronic device, unlawful use of a two-way communications device and traveling to meet a minor after using computer services or devices to solicit certain illegal acts.
Detectives began investigating Hollis in November 2025. This week, investigators learned he was already being held in the Hillsborough County Jail after being booked Aug. 7 on unrelated charges.
