LEE COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — Two men have been arrested in connection with a house party shooting in Lehigh Acres, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.

LCSO says that on July 10, deputies responded to a shooting on Willard Avenue in Lehigh Acres where multiple injuries occurred, and multiple juveniles fled the scene.

Four victims were treated for gunshot wounds, LCSO says. Witnesses told deputies that they saw an altercation taking place on Willard Avenue that quickly escalated into shots being fired into a crowd of people by one shooter, who ran to a white Toyota where another man was firing from inside the vehicle. Authorities used license plate readers and Crime Stoppers tips to identify Jared Williams, 19, and Desmond Garlin, 18, as the shooters, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.

Then, on Wednesday, the two were arrested following a search warrant. The young men — who each have lengthy criminal histories — were charged with attempted second-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a Florida juvenile delinquent.
