MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Skyline Fire Rescue in Milton, Florida, posted on it’s Facebook page details and pictures of two fires and other calls over the past three days.

A busy B-shift!
Friday 8/14 At approximately 7:49 PM Stations 22, 23, and 21 responded to a residential structure fire in Station 23’s district. Station 22 dropped a supply line and assisted with primary search, while 23 made the fire attack and 21 assisted with RIT. During search operations, two cats and a lizard were located, but were pronounced deceased on scene due to smoke inhalation. Cert 20/Air 22 was also called for rehab. Cause of the fire was believed to have started in the kitchen, but is still under investigation.
Saturday 8/15 At approximately 4:54 PM Stations 22, 23, 24, 11 and Cert 20/Air 22 responded to a structure fire in Station 22’s district. Firefighters made a quick attack on the fire, which originated in the garage due to a lightning strike. Engine 24 assisted with venting the garage roof to assist interior firefighters. During search operations, two cats were rescued from the structure. Due to the quick work of all firefighters, the fire was contained to a small portion of the garage and kitchen.
Additionally, at 3:11 AM, Station 22 responded to an MVA on Hwy 87 N. Vehicle left the roadway and was located approximately 20 yards inside the woods. Fortunately, the driver received no injuries.
