TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –Teenagers and young adults interested in law enforcement can get a closer look at policing through the Tallahassee Police Department’s Cadet Program, which is now recruiting.
The department is seeking applicants between the ages of 14 and 20 for the program, which offers hands-on training in a variety of law enforcement topics. Cadets also take part in statewide trips, community events and activities with other agencies, according to the department.
TPD is hosting a Recruitment Night from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, at TPD Headquarters, 234 East Seventh Ave. The event will provide information about the program and how to become a TPD cadet.
