TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — As students and families hauled boxes and bedding into dorms to kick off the new school year, Tallahassee Fire Department crews showed up with some relief from the heat.

Move-in week is underway at Florida A&M University, where Tallahassee Fire Department crews were on campus this morning handing out cold water and helping students and families stay cool during the move.

It was also move-in week at Florida State University. Tallahassee Fire Department crews stopped by campus to help students and families beat the heat with cold water as they got settled in for the new school year.
