Halloween enthusiasts have until Sept. 21 to lock in discounted Early Bird tickets for Stage Fright Nights: Summoning the Damned, the Alliance for the Arts’ highly anticipated immersive haunted
house. Running Oct. 17-31, the second annual haunted house blends theatrical storytelling with immersive haunts and sideshow attractions. The experience is brought to life through a community-driven build initiative, inviting local volunteers to help craft the nightmare through free, guided hands-on workshops.
The season officially kicks off on Saturday, Oct. 17, with a special opening-night double feature combining an outdoor screening of the classic Rocky Horror Picture Show with an exclusive preview walkthrough of Summoning the Damned. Guests can arrive in costume, enjoy the movie under the stars, participate in costume contests, and experience the season’s first interactive scares.
Early Bird tickets for the Rocky Horror Opening Night are available through Sept. 21 for $30 ($20 for Alliance members) and $50 for VIP access ($40 for members). Starting Sept. 22, general opening night admission increases to $40 ($30 for members) and $60 for VIP ($50 for members). Every opening night ticket includes a walkthrough of the haunted house.
Early Bird admission for Stage Fright Nights: Summoning the Damned is $15 ($13 for members) through Sept. 21, increasing to $20 ($16 for members) on Sept. 22. Groups of six or more can take advantage of $13 group rates through Oct. 31.
In the weeks leading up to the haunted house, artists, builders, designers, and Halloween fans of all skill levels have been coming together at the Alliance to create the sets, props, and environments that fill the attraction. Free, guided Prop-Making and Scenic Build Workshops invite community members to help bring the haunted house to life, with hands-on projects ranging from intricate props to large-scale scenes. No prior experience is necessary.
Upcoming Free Scenic Build Workshops take place on Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m., featuring “Spider Hall” on Sept. 6, “Black Forest” on Sept. 13, “The Crucible” on Sept. 20, and a “Sweeney Todd” scene on Oct. 3. Free Prop-Making Workshops will run from 5:30 to 9 p.m. on Sept. 9 and Sept. 16. In addition to workshop creators, the Alliance is actively seeking volunteers for attraction guides, performers, makeup artists, and technical crew.
