MaxPreps released its 2026 preseason All-American team this week.

Four Miami commits made the list, including two first-team selections in Top 100 quarterback Israel Abrams and five-star cornerback Donte Wright.

Abrams is undefeated as a high school starter and is coming off a fantastic junior season that saw him pass for more than 4,000 yards and 40 touchdowns en route to leading Lombard (Ill.) Montini Catholic to a Class 4A Illinois state title.

Ranked as the No. 3 quarterback and No. 41 overall recruit nationally, Abrams committed to Miami in April over Auburn, Kentucky, Florida State and others.

Wright checks in as the No. 1 cornerback and No. 9 overall recruit nationally. The Long Beach (Calif.) Poly prospect is a true shut down cornerback and flipped his commitment from Georgia to Miami in May.

Five-star Miami wide receiver commit Nick Lennear was featured on the second team offense.

Lennear has amassed more than 1,000 yards and 18 touchdowns in his high school career. He most recently starred at Miami (Fla.) Northwestern, where he captured a state title, but has since transferred to Miami (Fla.) Carol City, which is ranked as the No. 11 high school team in the country.

Ranked as the No. 3 wide receiver and No. 17 overall recruit nationally, Lennear is expected to have a big season as the go-to option at Carol City. Lennear committed to Miami in March over offers from LSU, Texas A&M, USC and others.

Five-star Miami commit A’mir Sears was listed on the second team as an all-purpose player. A two-way standout, Sears is considered one of the best cornerback recruits in the country but also doubles as a blue-chip level wide receiver.

Sears, who recently reclassified to the 2027 class, had a big sophomore year, logging 42 receptions for 942 yards and 11 touchdowns to go along with 61 tackles and three interceptions. He transferred from Pembroke Pines (Fla.) West Broward to Columbus this offseason.

Ranked as the No. 2 cornerback and No. 10 overall recruit nationally, Sears committed to Miami last month over offers from LSU, Michigan, Texas A&M and others.

The MaxPreps All-American team also featured five-star Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin wide receiver Brysen Wright, the No. 1 overall recruit in the 2028 class. Miami is trending for Wright on the Rivals Recruiting Prediction Machine.
