Opendoor is expanding its engineering team in Miami, and on August 26 the company is taking over The LAB Miami in Wynwood for Fireside 305: An Evening with Opendoor Tech Leadership.
CEO Kaz Nejatian will take unscripted questions on re-founding and scaling Opendoor. Chintan Parikh (Head of Engineering) and Eyal Klein (Head of Data) follow with a technical session on the engineering and data decisions behind the product, moderated by Renee Mauldin. The evening closes with food, drinks, and open networking with the Opendoor engineering team.
The event is hosted in partnership with The LAB Miami, which has been a collision point for the city’s builders and a driver of Miami’s startup tech ecosystem since 2012.

Opendoor is hiring in Miami across Software Engineering, Data and Machine Learning, and Security Engineering — and is upfront that the work isn’t for everyone. The company ships every week, pushes decisions to the engineers with the most context, treats AI as how it works rather than as a department, and is in office five days a week.
Engineers considering a move to Miami are encouraged to register as well. Opendoor is flying down a handful of standout engineers who want to relocate — note it in the “Anything you’d like us to know?” field when registering.
Who should attend: senior engineers, engineering leaders, and technical founders in South Florida.
