Chris and Kim Shin gave up their corporate careers last year to pursue what they saw as a more fulfilling endeavor: owning their own bakery and café in the heart of Coral Springs. The pair, along with dozens of team members, opened Broward County’s first Paris Baguette on Wednesday, Aug. 19.

The franchise, which also has a location in Wynwood, is known for its daily made pastries, signature cakes, coffee and sandwiches, with a hands-on twist that has endeared the brand in dozens of countries.

Paris Baguette has opened hundreds of locations since its initial expansion in 2015, with a projected 1,000 stores in North America by 2030. That includes a location in Miami, Delray Beach, Tampa and Orlando.
