NORTH MIAMI, Fla. — North Miami police were investigating after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed on Wednesday.

Witnesses and police said a suspect stabbed the teenager near the North Miami Library, located at 835 NE 132nd St. It’s located across the street from North Miami Senior High School.

Those witnesses said the two teenagers were fighting in the parking lot when one teen pulled out a knife and stabbed the other in the arm.

Witnesses said the two teenagers knew each other.

Authorities said the boy was taken “to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.”

Police taped off the library parking lot as they investigated.

North Miami police said their investigation remained “ongoing” Wednesday evening.

Despite their investigation, the teenager behind the stabbing has yet to be caught.
