TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Leon County officials say technical issues have affected a scheduled upgrade to the Justice Information System, a county-managed platform used by the Leon County Sheriff’s Office, the courts and other justice partners, according to a notice on social media from the Leon County Sheriff’s Office.

In a statement, Leon County Government said county technology staff have been working continuously with the vendor and in close coordination with each partner agency to address and resolve the problems. The county said work is ongoing to return the system to full operations for all users.

“Public safety operations remain unaffected,” Leon County Government said.

However, the county said in-person visitation at the detention facility is temporarily on hold. Leon County Government said it will provide additional information as it becomes available.
