August 21, 2026 – According to the Florida Department of Transportation, drivers will begin paying electronic tolls Saturday on the new Howard Frankland Bridge (I-275) Express Lanes across Old Tampa Bay. The money will be collected through the SunPass Prepaid Toll Program. Only passenger vehicles, registered vanpools and buses are allowed to use the express lanes.
