JACKSONVILLE, Ark. (KATV) — In Jacksonville, construction to widen Highway 67/167 (Interstate 57) to six lanes between Main Street and Vandenberg Boulevard will require a temporary closure of Vandenberg Boulevard between John Harden Drive and TP White Drive.
The closure is set from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly from Tuesday, August 25, through Thursday, August 27.
Bypassing any weather setback, crews will close Vandenberg Boulevard underneath Highway 67/167 (I-57) to remove equipment.
Signed detours will be set in place to assist drivers in proceeding around the closure.
To reach the east side of the Vandenberg Boulevard closure: Traffic will take John Harden Drive south to the N. James Street Bridge and cross over to access TP White Drive east of Highway 67/167 (I-57).To reach the west side of the Vandenberg Boulevard closure: Traffic will take N. 1st Street south to the new Gregory Street Overpass and cross over to access John Harden Drive or Marshall Road west of Highway 67/167 (I-57).
According to a release, traffic will be managed with barricades and signage.
ARDOT advises the public to proceed with caution while traveling through the work zone and remain vigilant for slower traffic speeds.
Areas near the Interstate may be impacted by noise during nighttime hours.
