Central Florida heat, humidity pushing temps into the mid-90s Monday
ORLANDO, Fla. —
Hot and humid conditions are expected across Central Florida on Monday, with lower chances of rain than are typical for this time of year.
There is about a 30% chance of rain this afternoon, with most showers and storms expected closer to dinnertime.
Because storms are expected to develop later in the day, more sunshine and less rain coverage will allow temperatures to climb into the mid-90s.
Rain chances will gradually increase Tuesday before Central Florida returns to more typical summertime weather beginning Wednesday. Daily afternoon showers and thunderstorms are expected to become more widespread from Wednesday through the weekend.
The increased rain coverage will help keep temperatures a little lower, with highs generally returning to the low 90s.
