Rain chances increase across northern, central sections of Central Florida – Orlando Sentinel

On Tuesday, the northern and central parts of Central Florida will see increased chances of rain.

Rain chances are at 50-60 percent in Orlando, Leesburg and Daytona Beach, according to NWS Melbourne.

Those change to 30-40 percent in Vero Beach and Port St. Lucie.

Storm hazards include sudden wind gusts, frequent lightning and heavy rain.

Temperatures are expected to be in the low to mid 90s, which are slightly higher than normal.

Max heat indices top out at around 106 degrees.

Orlando has a major heat risk, while most other parts of the region will have only a moderate heat risk.

Skies will be mostly sunny with winds blowing south to southwest at 5 mph.
