A man was arrested after he allegedly posted a threat on social media against Miami Dade College’s Hialeah Campus, police said.
Jose Santos, 21, was arrested Monday on a charge of written threats to kill or do bodily injury, an arrest report said.
The alleged threat involved the Miami Dade College Hialeah Campus at 1780 West 49th Street.
According to the report, a person provided police with an Instagram post that said “everyone at MDC dies today.”
Santos was later identified as the owner of Instagram account and detained, the report said.
“Based on the investigation conducted, detectives were able to determine the defendant improperly sent an electronic record that threatened a mass act of terrorism,” the report said.
Santos was booked into jail, and was expected to appear in bond court on Tuesday. Attorney information wasn’t available.
