A man was killed when he crashed into a business in Miami Springs early Wednesday, according to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.
Miami Springs police responded at around 2:26 a.m. to the area of Northwest 36th Street and Lee Drive, MDSO said.
Investigators said a man was driving a pickup truck westbound on Northwest 36th Street approaching Lee Drive. Then, the pickup “traveled toward the right shoulder, entered the sidewalk, and struck a business storefront.”

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and took the driver to Ryder Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead.
His name was not immediately released.
Detectives from the MDSO Traffic Homicide Bureau responded and took over the investigation.
