FORT PIERCE ── The rodeo is coming to the St. Lucie County Fairgrounds Sept. 26.
Not just any rodeo, it’s the South Florida Soul Rodeo, which blends Black cowboy culture, live music, and professional rodeo competitions. The lineup includes bull riding, barrel racing, ranch bronc riding, chute dogging and more.
Miami-based rapper Ball Greezy is scheduled to perform.
Founded in 2022, the Soul Rodeo was founded to bring the authentic rodeo experience to communities that may have never witnessed the thrill of cowboys and cowgirls in action.
Fort Pierce is the last stop of the season for Soul Rodeo, which travels from city to city, offering family-friendly entertainment rooted in Southern tradition and community pride.
The South Florida Soul Rodeo goes from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., Sept. 26. Admission is $47.64 pp; kids ages 5 to 12 are $30.52; and VIP tickets, including a meet and greet with the cowboys and cowgirls, soft drinks, free food and premium seating, are $116.15 pp.
