Breeze Airways will launch 79 new routes in September 2026, up from last year. Fort Lauderdale leads with 12 new connections, including high-frequency flights to Tampa. The carrier is also replacing older jets with Airbus A220s featuring premium cabins.

Compared to September 2025, Breeze’s new routes include 12 from Fort Lauderdale, 11 from Raleigh-Durham, and 10 from Orlando. Tampa gains nine routes, while Las Vegas and Myrtle Beach each add eight. Weekly frequencies range from one flight to 55 between Fort Lauderdale and Tampa. The airline is phasing out Embraer E190s for Airbus A220s with dedicated premium seating.

This expansion reflects Breeze’s focus on underserved markets and convenience-driven scheduling. Routes connect secondary cities like Akron, Savannah, and Wilmington, often bypassing major hubs. The carrier’s CEO cited regional accessibility as the driver. These additions follow a five-year milestone marked by new onboard amenities, including a signature cocktail named Island Breeze.

Why it matters

Travelers gain more direct options between mid-sized U.S. cities, reducing layovers and hub dependence. Those flying from Fort Lauderdale or Orlando now face more competition, potentially lowering fares on newly served corridors.
