Tyler Grafmiller has announced he will transfer to Division II Tampa for the upcoming 2026-2027 season. Grafmiller spent his freshman season at Georgia.
Originally from Texas, Grafmiller arrived at Georgia last fall. He closed his season at the 2026 SEC Championships where he was highlighted by a lifetime best 47.95 in the 100 butterfly to finish 43rd. He also finished 60th in the 50 free (20.74) and 70th in the 100 free (44.87).
He dropped almost half a second in the 100 fly during his freshman season as he arrived at Georgia with a lifetime best 48.43 from 2024 Winter Juniors. He first swam a lifetime best 47.98 at the team’s dual meet against Emory before lowering it once again at SECs.

The Tampa men captured the 2026 NCAA Division II Championship as the team scored 522.5 points to finish just ahead of Druryr’s 509 points. Distance freestyler Jacob Hamlin led the way for the team with 74 individual points including a win in the 500 free with a 4:14.35.
Based on his best times, Grafmiller is just off what it took to earn an NCAA invite this past season. It took a 47.50 in the 100 fly, 1:47.25 200 fly, 19.85 50 free, and a 43.86 100 free. William Beckstead-Holman led the team in the 100 fly with a 46.46 lifetime best that earned him a 4th place finish at NCAAs. Tibor Tistan also made the NCAA ‘A’ final in the 100 fly as he was 6th in a 46.58. Both were seniors this past season, making Grafmiller’s arrival this fall key to fill the gap.
