Instead of Haunt-O-Phonic/Ghoulish, Universal Orlando Resort is presenting a Stranger Things-inspired lagoon show during Halloween Horror Nights 35. “Stranger Things: Return to Hawkins” looks back on all five seasons of the show.
“Stranger Things: Return to Hawkins” Lagoon Show
The music. The monsters. The memories. In this show, tune in to a special WSQK broadcast and relive five epic seasons of Stranger Things.
There’s a pre-show featuring the WSQK radio station projected on a building as ’80s music plays. The actual show is about 13 minutes, beginning with images of Stranger Things characters projected on mist screens. Like other Universal lagoon shows, Stranger Things: Return to Hawkins combines projections, lights, and water effects.
It transitions into fully projected scenes set to ’80s hits and the Stranger Things score. Guests see the main characters face off against Demogorgons, Vecna, and other monsters. The buildings in the background become Starcourt Mall and other iconic locations. The scenes are approximately in order, running through all five seasons of Stranger Things.
It ends with the famous Stranger Things opening title.
The show is performed at 9 p.m., 9:45 p.m., 10:30 p.m., 11:15 p.m., 12 a.m., and 12:45 a.m. Watch our video below.
