On a windy and sunny August afternoon, the Key Biscayne community gathered to celebrate National Lighthouse Day and the iconic Cape Florida Lighthouse, the oldest standing structure in Miami-Dade County.
The event, organized by the Friends of Cape Florida organization, celebrated some of the park’s volunteers as well as donors, partners and supporters and featured lighthouse tours, the new Keeper’s Cottage Museum, VR experiences, the Bill Baggs HoloPOD, Poetry, Family Art Activities, Music, refreshments and more!
