BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. — A Broward County elementary school administrator was arrested Sunday and is being reassigned from the school following an off-campus incident, according to Broward County Public Schools.

Marc Horowitz has been charged with robbery without a firearm or weapon and touch or strike, a charge that can be associated with battery or domestic violence.

Specific details about what happened that led deputies to arrest Horowitz have not yet been released.

A spokesperson for Broward County Public Schools said Horowitz is an assistant principal at Orange Brook Elementary School. The district said he is being reassigned from the school following an off-campus incident, pending further Human Resources review and action, which may include termination.

On the Orange Brook Elementary School website, Horowitz is listed as an administrator, specifically the interim principal.
