MIAMI, FL – August 31, 2026 – Junney Baeza Dager, M.D., has joined Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute at Baptist Health Brain & Spine Care as a nonsurgical spine care physician. Board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation with specialized expertise in spinal cord injury medicine, Dr. Baeza Dager focuses on helping people with neurological conditions improve their function, independence and quality of life.
Her clinical interests include functional devices that complement traditional therapy to help patients recover walking skills. She is also interested in the use of artificial intelligence to make educational information more accessible to caregivers of people with neurological conditions.

Dr. Baeza Dager earned her medical degree from the University of Cartagena School of Medicine in Colombia. After completing a transitional-year internship at St. Vincent of Paul University Hospital in Medellin, Colombia, she completed a general surgery internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. She then completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation, with a specialty in spinal cord injury, at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Passionate about caring for people with neurological impairments, Dr. Baeza Dager believes collaboration is essential to helping patients reach their goals. “I am committed to helping my patients maximize their function, independence and quality of life,” she said. “I believe a multidisciplinary approach provides the most comprehensive care, and I work closely with therapists, nurses, psychologists and other specialists to develop a plan centered on each patient’s individual needs and goals.”
