South Florida drivers have a Monday morning headache: Southbound lanes on Interstate 95 have been shut down at Ives Dairy Road in Miami-Dade County.

Traffic cameras in the area show several crashed vehicles and debris spread across the highway. The crash, which was reported before 6 a.m. Monday, involves injuries, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash and shutdown are affecting the main southbound lanes and backups stretch to Broward County. Express lanes in the area are still moving.

“We have a really nasty crash, Nobody is moving,” said Austin Carter, a traffic reporter at Miami Herald news partner CBS News Miami. “It is just a parking lot right now.”

For morning rush-hour commuters in Broward heading toward the Golden Glades Interchange and beyond, the best alternative is to take Florida’s Turnpike or State Road 7.
