A large police presence was reported Tuesday afternoon near a Hialeah school after authorities received reports of shots fired in the area.
Chopper 6 was over the scene in the Aquabella community near West Lakes Preparatory Academy in the 13000 block of Northwest 97th Avenue, where officers established a perimeter and were seen investigating.
Hialeah Police said multiple individuals were detained and two suspected vehicles were located in the Aquabella neighborhood.
Authorities said preliminary searches had not found any injured persons as of Tuesday afternoon.
The investigation remains active.
