Clearwater amends its Local Housing Assistance Plan
The Clearwater City Council approved an amendment to the city’s local housing assistance plan. It allows funds to be allocated for construction and relocation assistance for those displaced during mobile park home closing.
Duke Energy releases a St. Pete study using a utility-favored firm
The study says a St. Petersburg takeover of the electric grid will cost between $2.75 and $4.1 billion. But City Council member Richie Floyd said the cost of purchasing the grid would not raise taxes. Instead, it would be paid through utility bills, the same way Duke pays for their infrastructure upgrades.
