TAMPA, Fl (WFLA) — Beulah Baptist Institutional Church canceled Sunday worship service to serve their community by giving out free food to several neighborhoods across Tampa Bay.
Beulah Baptist Institutional Church was built in 1865 and is Tampa’s first Black Baptist church.

To celebrate their 161st year of serving this community, their members canceled Sunday service to provide free meals to five different communities throughout Tampa Bay. It’s their Boots on the Ground initiative.
Beulah’s impact spanned from Tampa to New Port Richey as they visited two low-income housing complexes, a senior living facility, a homeless shelter and a family shelter. Their goal was to provide free meals, lift people’s spirits, spread encouragement and pray for their neighbors.
Beulah is now getting ready for their 2nd Annual Blessings Bazaar.
People can stop by their church at 1006 W Cypress St, Tampa, FL 33606 to pick up new or gently used household items, clothes, shoes, decor and more. It is free and open to the public.
