NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A Florida man who previously worked as a social worker in Nashville was indicted in Davidson County this month following an investigation by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI).
The TBI said they began investigating 54-year-old Robert Bailey, of Florida, for allegations of sexual misconduct.
During the investigation, TBI agents found information indicating that Bailey sexually assaulted two patients while he was employed as a social worker for Centennial Medical Center between Sep. 24, 2024, and April 28, 2025.

A Davidson County Grand Jury indicted Bailey on Aug. 6, charging him with rape and sexual battery.
Bailey was arrested Tuesday by Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office deputies at the Jupiter Medical Center in Jupiter, Florida. He will be extradited to Tennessee and booked into the Davidson County Jail.
