Orlando community mourns Milton McKnight, a downtown fixture for over 30 years
ORLANDO, Fla. —
The Orlando community is grieving the loss of Milton McKnight, a cherished presence in downtown Orlando for more than three decades.
He died earlier this week, according to a social media post from his church.
McKnight, who had cerebral palsy and used a wheelchair for much of his life, was a familiar face on Orange Avenue.
Despite his challenges, he was known for his constant smile and his significant impact on the downtown community.
McKnight’s favorite spot was Harp & Celt Irish Pub, where he was a regular twice a day.
The pub’s manager said his absence is deeply felt.
Homegoing services are currently being planned, and a GoFundMe has been established to assist with funeral expenses.
