TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A man has been arrested in connection with an August shooting that left one man injured.
Kenrick Mills was arrested and charged with first-degree homicide for a shooting in the 2500 block of Texas Street on Aug. 4., according to arrest papers.
Arrest documents show Mills had allegedly threatened the victim several weeks prior to the shooting.

Witnesses said the victim came to a residence in the 800 block of Cochran Drive after he had been shot and told them Mills was the suspect, arrest papers said.
The victim had gunshot wounds to the arm and hand. He was taken to the hospital, where he underwent surgery, the arrest documents said.
After the surgery, the victim told police he had gone to a gathering on Texas Street when he saw Mills. He said he was nervous that Mills was planning to do something violent against him and left the gathering.

When he was driving off, he saw Mills’ vehicle following him and lowering the window before shots were fired, according to arrest documents.
Surveillance footage showed Mills’ vehicle in the area of the shooting and “an object or body part partially sticking out of one of the windows on the driver’s side window area,” documents show.
According to court records, Mills was arrested on Aug. 19 after Tallahassee police observed him driving with a revoked license. He left a traffic stop, hitting two patrol vehicles, before being arrested, documents revealed. Police found a felony amount of narcotics in his possession.
Court records show Mills has priory felony convictions, including drug and firearm charges.
He is charged with attempted homicide and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
