TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — An investigation is underway into an armed robbery that occurred at a Family Dollar in Tampa.
According to the Tampa Police Department, on August 31, officers responded to the Family Dollar located at 4900 N. 40th Street, following an armed robbery.
Surveillance video from the business captured the armed suspect entering the store and demanding money from the employee before fleeing on foot and heading north.
No one was injured.
The Tampa Police Department has released the video of the suspect in hopes that someone may be able to identify him.
The suspect in the video appears to be around 250 pounds, with his face partially covered. At the time of the robbery, he is shown wearing a black hoodie, long blue pants, and black slides.
