Brandon HoganALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. —

Three people were taken to the hospital after a multi-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in Altamonte Springs, according to police and firefighters.

The crash occurred at Hermits Trail and State Road 436, the Altamonte Springs Police Department said in a statement.

Out of five patients total, a 33-year-old man, a 23-year-old woman, and a child were taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to police and the Seminole County Fire Department.

The man and woman were transported as trauma alerts while the child was described as in stable condition at last check, firefighters said.

Westbound traffic on 436 was being diverted at Newburyport Avenue and only one westbound lane remains open, the police statement reads.

“Please avoid the area, expect delays, and use an alternate route,” police said.
