Khmelnytskyi and the U.S. city of Tampa have signed a sister-city agreement.
Khmelnytskyi Mayor Oleksandr Symchyshyn reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
“I am proud that we have signed a sister-city agreement with Tampa (Florida, USA). It is a modern, large and progressive city that ranks among the top U.S. cities in terms of the pace and dynamism of development,” the Mayor said.
According to him, the mayors of the two cities also signed a number of important documents on intermunicipal partnership.
Khmelnytskyi and Tampa will cooperate in business, education, renewable energy, healthcare, digitalization and culture.
As reported by Ukrinform, the cities of Chernivtsi and Gresham (Oregon, USA) also signed a sister-city agreement.
