West Palm Beach, Fla. (WPEC) — Widespread showers and numerous storms are crowding the radar this Saturday evening.
Heavy downpours, gusty winds, and frequent lightning are all present within thunderstorms, so if you hear thunder, that is a good cue to head indoors while the thunderstorms pass.
Some areas have received lots of rainfall over the last few hours.
This heavy rainfall has prompted a Flash Flood Warning for southeastern Okeechobee until 10:00 p.m. tonight.

Thunderstorms on the north side of the lake have produced between 2 to 3.5 inches of rain in some spots, with another 1 to 2 inches forecast to still fall.
A Flood Advisory is in place for southern Okeechobee, southwestern St. Lucie, and northwestern Martin counties until 8:45 p.m.

Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly as 1 to 2 inches of rain have fallen in localized spots, and another 1 to 2 inches of additional rain are still forecast to fall.
Remember to turn around and don’t drown when encountering flooded roadways.
