The 858,000-square-foot garage will feature six levels and is set to open before Thanksgiving weekend.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Labor Day weekend is upon us, which means Jacksonville International Airport is getting a lot of traffic.
With a busy travel season approaching, Jacksonville Aviation Authority Marketing and Public Relations Director Greg Willis told First Coast News a third parking garage will open sometime in November, before the Thanksgiving holiday.
Costing approximately $102 million, the third garage will open beside the other two parking garages. This parking garage is said to be around 858,000 square feet, hosting six levels, and allowing 2,000 more parking spaces.
Fire struck the third deck of the hourly parking garage in May 2025. According to JAA, the garage should be fully back in service by summer 2027.
