According to the Federal Aviation Administration, flight 7598 overran the runway after landing around 2 p.m. at the airport. It hit multiple vehicles near the 2100 block of Northwest 42nd Avenue, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

“Units arrived to find an airplane that had caught on fire as a result of this crash, with heavy flames and smoke showing,” according to a statement from the rescue agency. “Firefighters are working on extinguishing the fire, and there are multiple patients.”
