Jet skier critically injured after colliding with boat in Tierra Verde: PCSO

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A jet skier was left fighting for his life after a crash involving a boat in Tierra Verde Saturday evening.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred near 8th Avenue North just after 7 p.m.

The male on the jet ski was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, deputies said.

PCSO said Sunday that the man was in critical but stable condition.

While the circumstances around the crash were not immediately available, deputies do not believe speed or impairment were involved.
