JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A registered child sex offender from Jacksonville is back behind bars after he was arrested and charged with new child sex crimes after police said he lured a teen into a tent in the woods before sexually battering them.
According to a Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office arrest report, officers were investigating 48-year-old Adriane Soles for failing to update his information in the state’s sex offender registry when they became aware of an incident between him and a teen.

The victim told police they ran away from home and met Soles at a store in July, 2026, where they started talking and stayed until the store closed, then going to a nearby fast food restaurant and gym, before heading to Soles’ tent in the woods, according to the report.
The victim told police Soles asked if they could have sex, and the teen refused. The report states Soles then took the teen’s clothes off and touched them inappropriately before forcing himself on the teen, having sex with them.
The teen told police they went to sleep in the tent, then went back to the fast food restaurant the next day, where officers found the teen after they had been reported missing.
According to the report, the teen told police there were more instances where they had sex with Soles, and the two were messaging each other on a cell phone. The teen showed police several inappropriate messages from Soles, the report states.
Soles was arrested on Tuesday, Sept. 1, and he initially denied any allegations of sexual activity with the teen, the report states.
According to the reporting officer, Soles then admitted to sexual activity with the teen, but told police the teen initiated sex by kissing him and he did not rape them.
Soles also admitted to having a video on his phone of the two having sex.
Soles is charged with one count of sexual battery of a minor, five counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor, possession of child pornography, and unlawful use of a two-way communication device.
This is the third time he’s been charged with child sex crimes in Florida.
In 1998, at 20 years old, he was arrested for lewd and lascivious sexual battery of a teen under 16 years old. He was convicted in 1999 and sentenced to five years in state prison, also being placed on the sex offender registry.
In 2005, he was convicted of unlawful sexual activity with a minor, according to the sex offender registry.
He’s currently in the Duval County Jail without bond. He will appear in court on Sept. 23.
If convicted of sexual battery, he would qualify as a Dangerous Sexual Felony Offender under Florida law, carrying a mandatory sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.
The unlawful sexual activity charges carry mandatory minimum sentences of 10 years under Florida’s sexual reoffender laws, and must run consecutively under state statute. If Soles is convicted of these five charges, he will spend an absolute minimum of 50 years in prison without the possibility of early release.
