Small plane crash closes Titusville road, causes power outages, officials say

  • September 7, 2026

TITUSVILLE, Fla. – A small plane went down near Space Coast Regional Airport in Titusville on Monday morning, prompting road closures and power outages in the surrounding area, officials said.

The plane crashed on Columbia Boulevard between Sisson Road and South Washington Avenue. Titusville police, fire crews and other emergency personnel are on scene, officials said.

Both eastbound and westbound lanes of Columbia Boulevard remain closed as crews work to clear the scene. Drivers are encouraged to seek alternative routes, Titusville police said.

Residents and businesses near Sisson Road and Columbia Boulevard should expect power outages. Florida Power & Light shut off power to that section of the grid as a precaution.

Information on injuries has not yet been confirmed. It is also unclear whether the plane was taking off or landing at the time of the incident.

News 6 has a crew headed to the scene.
