Residents of Cape Coral are reacting with shock and concern after a swastika was discovered spray-painted on a traffic post at the intersection of Santa Barbara Boulevard and Trafalgar Parkway, leaving many wondering about its implications for their community.Colin Silko, a Cape Coral resident, said, “I was pretty shocked when I saw it. Especially in the community. I wouldn’t expect to see something like that. I feel like around here, we’re all pretty, you know, well, connected. I feel like everybody’s decent to each other. So seeing that, I hope it’s just somebody, you know, playing a not funny joke, obviously.”Brody Menna, another resident, expressed his thoughts, saying, “Yeah. It could be that it could obviously just be you know, kids being stupid or whatever. But it’s definitely a symbol of hate and should not be represented in our community.”Aston Rodllega shared his perspective, stating, “I’m sure like somebody put it there as a joke, but it’s not really a joke.
